Born in June of 1976 in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, Barron De Sanctis grew up with big dreams and was raised to learn how to see them come to fruition. He currently presides as the Partner and Executive Vice President of SDI Systems, an automation, software and robotics company that aims to optimize e-commerce and distribution centers to assure better buying experiences for consumers as well as offer solutions “that optimize everyday lives”. In 1977, just a year after he was born, Barron’s father became one of the founders of Systems Design Incorporated, the same company Barron would later help lead in his adult life. In his youth, Barron’s father took on a mentor role in raising his son, hoping to see Barron not only succeed in life, but leave a positive and lasting impact on the world, as well. Thanks to his father’s connections, Barron was quickly surrounded with positive influences and “pillars of the community” who also helped guide him. Now a successful and inspirational pillar himself, Barron credits his father for his help in molding him into the man he is today. Outside of his work life, Barron also serves as a major advocate of philanthropy work. Never satisfied with just writing checks for donations, Barron became involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America where he serves on the board as the Board Secretary. Barron has also been spending time with and coaching his Little Brother for over a decade now. He is passionate about mentoring and educating other people, and he is excited about helping others with dreams as big as his own. In his philanthropy work, Barron declares children to be his number one priority and the environment a close second. Barron hopes to soon expand his philanthropic efforts when he has more financial freedom, dedicated to seeing the next generation become the best versions of themselves possible. 

Vacationing at Joshua Tree can open up opportunities of a lifetime for you to take advantage. Rock climbing enthusiasts enjoy the western parts of the park that is home to some of the best geological landscapes for such activities. The park also makes available many trails for hiking. Some are short and beginner friendly, while others are perfect for those with years of experience and are seeking a new challenge. Star-gazing is another popular outdoor activity at Joshua Tree, as the park has a high elevation. Astronomy lovers will have a wonderful time gazing at the night sky. Due to the absence of surrounding lights, many more amazing spectacles can be seen including the very distant Andromeda galaxy! 

Every Saturday, the Joshua Tree Farmers Market is open. Fresh produce and other food grown and created in and around the park is available to buy. Other attractions include the annual Joshua Tree Music Festival, occurring every May and October, that offers uplifting music that will inspire you, and the Milky Way Photography Workshops which provide another opportunity to take advantage of the gorgeous night sky. Art lovers will have a wonderful experience visiting the Open Studio Art Tours, offered throughout October, where they can appreciate the enormous creativity of Joshua Tree’s own.
